The fundamental elements of a traditional Latin American home integrated into a single piece of furniture.

Across Latin America, remnants of Colonial Spanish architecture have left an indelible mark on our cities, creating a hybrid visual identity.

This design draws inspiration from these deeply-rooted architectural influences: vibrant mosaics, intricate metal bar patterns reminiscent of the ornate window grilles found in Spanish-influenced architecture, and robust wooden materials that pay homage to the sturdy wooden doors and furniture that have been fixtures of Latin American homes for generations.

The creation of this stool was a playful exploration of the intrinsic Latin aesthetic, stemming from a profound sense of nostalgia for my homeland and its rich cultural heritage.
